AIM, or The Association for Independent Managers, is a not for profit organization, created in the 1970's and fully incorporated in January, 1979 as a Florida Corporation. AIM visionary Founders used to state that AIM was, "...like having a business owner's union. All of our small businesses banding together to gain access to services and benefits normally available only to giant corporations!"
The Original purpose for AIM was to create an association for smaller business owners, managers, and those who wished to start or manage a business. As We looked around, We found there was no resource to help those small businesses which form the backbone of this nation.
The founders of AIM envisioned an association that could help people succeed in business while improving themselves at the same time. ..... a person who starts a beauty parlor might know a lot about hair and nails but not necessarily how to run a business. Most who start and work in small businesses normally don't have education in business law, taxes, accounting, Insurance, payroll, worker's compensation, and a whole lot more. Most cannot afford to hire people with those skills. There is no "department" for each of these important areas within the small business. Therefore, AIM was created to offer what no other organization had done previously.
Education is a key to any business success. AIM realizes the need to educate in order to match what was happening in the business world. As a result, educational courses were created. AIM has also added many new benefits and programs to compliment the educational offerings. Even though much has been added, AIM monthly dues have stayed the same. In fact, they've been the same for about 30 years-since AIM began!

AIM Educational Courses: Access to AIM's educational courses has been a regular AIM benefit from the beginning of the association in the 1970's.
